Public Archaeology Digs supervised by Northcentral Chapter 8 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology
with
NCC8 members Robin Van Auken and Chris Dalla Piazza
Archaeology Public Digs are held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Family Nature Park Programs are held from 9 to 11 a.m. (limited supplies -- RSVP)
Junior Ranger Workshops are held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Muncy Historical Society Events are posted on the website.
All dates are subject to change. Please
check before you attend to verify that a dig has not
been canceled or a program moved to a new location (rain). If you're
not sure, confirmations can be made by calling Robin
at 570-916-0026 (cell).
The 2009 Archaeology Public Dig, hosted by Muncy Historical Society and supervised by the Northcentral Chapter 8 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology,
will be held May 9 through
October 3 with National Archaeology Day held from 10 a.m. to noon, October 10, 2009. Lycoming College
archaeology field school is scheduled for Spring 2010.
Schools, Scouts, Clubs and Organizations
wishing to schedule a private tour may contact Robin Van Auken, MuncyHistoricalSociety@gmail.com, 570-546-5917, or 570-916-0026. The
cost per person is $3.50 and these visits can be scheduled
for dates between May 5 and October 9, 2009.
