‘Pops’ Concert set for August 3
Muncy Historical Society will host the Uptown Music Collective for a second year at its 2024 summer event, the “Pops” free concert. As the sun sets, relax, enjoy, and share in this live, outdoor concert’s fun-filled, community-oriented public experience at 7 p.m. Aug. 3.
This year’s concert will be held at the Schuyler Memorial Stadium on the Muncy Junior-Senior High School campus. Parking is available onsite, at the Muncy High School, and on Painter, Buffington, Lincoln, and Sherman Street Extension streets. Pack your lawn chairs and blankets, or sit on the bleachers! Bring your whole family and head out for an evening of priceless music! In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held indoors, in the school auditorium.
The Uptown Music Collective, the area’s premier nonprofit school of music based in Williamsport, PA, is set to perform here in Muncy again. Students from the school’s renowned performance program will put on a concert featuring the music of Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles, along with the music made famous by other classic rock and easy-listening contemporaries – Bobbie Gentry, Foreigner, Bob Seger, Van Morrison, The Pretenders, Halls and Oats, and others.
Please plan to come early and support the Muncy Music Association and Boy Scout Troop No. 25, which will have picnic-fare foods available at their stands.
The “Pops at Pepper Street” free-to-the-public concert is sponsored by the Muncy Historical Society, community-minded business partners, and private individuals. A complete listing of financial supporters will be available on the concert night.
