Muncy Historical Society Announces Annual Meeting

On Sunday March 9, 2025 the Muncy Historical Society hosts its annual meeting at 40 N. Main Street, Muncy. Beginning at 2 p.m., the meeting agenda includes an overview of last year’s projects and programs, financial performance, election of board members, and a discussion of future America250 initiatives. The meeting is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

The month of March will see the first of the Muncy Historical Society Honors veteran efforts. On March 29, National Vietnam War Veterans Day, the Society invites all Vietnam veterans and their families to an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and to receive a “Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin” – a government-issued pin as “a lasting memento of the Nation’s thanks!” The community is welcome to participate and unite to thank and honor veterans and the families who supported them before and after the war.

The Vintage Gatherers Quilters, partnering with the Muncy Historical Society, is a registered group under the auspices of the Quilts of Valor® Foundation. The Quilts of Valor effort involves local quilters who honor and gift quilts to veterans who’ve been touched by war with comforting and healing ‘Quilts of Valor. A representative will be available to answer questions on how to register as a veteran or to nominate a veteran for a healing quilt.
